WORSHIP at Christ Church

Worship at Christ Church will be a welcoming, uplifting, enjoyable experience.
It is a time of great joy and fellowship, coming into presence of the living God through song, prayer, and reading & preaching of God’s Word.

Worship is all about coming before our God and Savior with grateful hearts for the unsearchable riches of His grace, for His loving sacrifice, for His forgiveness, for being adopted as His children, for His making all things new in us through Christ, and for His free gift of Eternal Life!
The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases, His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23

Scripture refers to the Sabbath as a holy day, a holiday.  In the New Testament, it is referred to as the Lord’s Day (the day of Christ’s resurrection). God promises that all who come to Him in repentance through faith in Jesus Christ, you will take delight in the Lord, and He will make you ride on the heights of the earth (Isaiah 58:13-14).

That’s some promise! We welcome you to come.  Come expectantly to meet and worship God, our Creator, Sustainer and Redeemer. Dress comfortably; come as you are. God is not concerned with your outward appearance for He searches the heart. He knows each and every one of us. He knows everything about us: what you are wrestling with, your concerns and fears. Jesus said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick… For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.” (Matthew 9:12-13)  Church is not a resort but a hospital for sinners. And we are all sinners in need of Christ’s forgiving, saving grace.

Our worship will be God-centered, Gospel-driven, Grace-centered.
What do we mean by that? We are all sinners deserving God’s just punishment for our sins, but in Christ all our sins have been removed as far as the east is from the west. The punishment for our sin was laid on Jesus at the cross. The perfect, innocent Son of God took the punishment we deserved and gave us His righteousness. That is grace; that is the Gospel! So our worship is in praise to God and is a proclamation of the Good News that there is complete forgiveness in Christ even to the chief of sinners.

Sing the Bible, Pray the Bible, Preach the Bible
Our music will be an expression of God’s Word in song. We will sing Scripturally rich songs of today and our past. Our desire is to encourage congregational singing, lifting up our voices together in praise to God.  We plan to incorporate instrumentation such as guitar, piano, strings, brass and cajon.
We believe in prayer! Prayer is speaking to God, adoring Him and giving thanks as exhorted in Scripture, and seeking / trusting in Him for wisdom and blessing as He answers our prayers for His glory.
Our worship will be centered on God’s Word with faithful, Biblical teaching, applying the Bible to our hearts and minds. We want to come away from worship having heard from God through His Word.  The Bible transforms us and enables us, by His grace, to live more and more for Him.
We’re a new church, just starting; if you’re a gifted musician with a heart for glorifying God, we would greatly appreciate your help in our music ministry.  Please contact us.

We hope you will join usWe will have a warm, inviting Nursery ready for your young children where you will feel comfortable as you worship.
