GREATEST Story Ever Told
about the GREATEST Person who ever lived, and the GREATEST offer ever made!
Sooner or later if we’re honest with ourselves, we all wrestle with ultimate questions of life and death
What happens to us when we die?  Is death all there is?  Is there life after death?  How can I know for sure if I will be in heaven when I die?
The Bible tells us that we can know for certain what happens.
I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life.” (1 John 5:13)
And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.  Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.” (1 John 5:11-12)
The Son of God, Jesus Christ, came to this earth and took upon Himself a human body as a man
We celebrate His virgin birth at Christmas.  Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah,  Immanuel, which means “God with us”.  Jesus is our God, our Creator, the One who made heaven and earth.
You shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.”  “They shall call his name Immanuel, which means God with us.” (Matthew 1:21, 23)
Why did Jesus have to come?  Scripture tells us that we all have sinned, and because of our sin, there is no one who is righteous, not even one
The wages of sin is death” (Roman 6:23)  Wages are what we earn, and what we earn for our sin is: physical death, spiritual death, and eternal death (hell).  What is sin exactly?  Sin is our disobedience to God’s commands.  We sin when we disobey God in our actions, our words and even in our thoughts.  We also sin when we fail to do what God has commanded (such as not loving our neighbor or loving God with all our heart).  While man may try to do good things in this life, it does not remove the sin that he / she has committed.  No sin can come before a holy, perfect God.  God says, “all our righteous acts are like filthy rags.” (Isaiah 64:6)
Sin separates us from God.  God is holy and perfect and heaven is perfect because that is where God is.  God makes heaven perfect.  Therefore, no one can be in heaven with God unless He is perfect.  Jesus said, “You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” (Matthew 5:48)
Then how can anyone get to heaven since we have sinned?
The answer is Jesus Christ.  God loves us and sent His only Son to pay the penalty for our sin (“
wages of sin is death“).  God doesn’t change His mind and ignore sin.  Sin must be paid for.  Jesus came to this earth, lived a perfect sinless life, but He also came to die in our place.  Jesus loved us, took the penalty for our sin and died on the cross as our substitute.
On the third dead, Jesus rose from the grave; death could not hold Him.  Jesus conquered death and the power of sin.
God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us…For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.” (Romans 5:8-10)
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
Forgiveness of sin and eternal life is gift from God–a free gift!
It can’t be earned nor is it deserved!  How do we receive this gift?  God says it is a gift that we receive by faith, trusting in Jesus Christ, and not by any good works of our own.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)
How can I receive this gift?  Pray to Jesus.  Call upon Him by faith; trust in Him as the Lord and Savior of your life.
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”  “For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:9, 13).
Pray to Jesus Christ; ask Him to be your Lord and Savior.  If you do so, we would love to help you grow in your new relationship with Jesus Christ.  Eternal life through Jesus Christ is the greatest gift ever offered by the greatest Person who ever lived.
Welcome to the family of God!
