Why Christ Church?

A community being made new by the gospel of Jesus Christ!
Loving God.  Loving God’s Word.  Loving God’s people.
 What if Church were more like this? Disciples who make Disciples!

In the early church, the Holy Spirit ignited a discipleship revolution through the lives of ordinary people, new believers (some only months, days or even hours old in the faith) to take the Gospel to their oikos (their households, their homes, their families).  What resulted?  A firestorm of loving, evangelistic zeal and fervent obedience that took the kingdom into the remotest parts of the world.

We pray that God, for own His glory, would create a “discipleship re-revolution” throughout the city of Buffalo that would spread to the nations, obedient to:

   1) Christ’s call: “Follow Me,”

   2) in Christ’s power: “and I will make you,”

   3) for Christ’s glory: “fishers of men.”  (Mark 1:17).
It is our desire to be a church of disciples that make disciples as we grow together learning what it means to love, serve and live for Jesus Christ.

Jesus said…

Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.  And I am with you always to the end of the age.”  (Matthew 28:18-20)
To know Jesus Christ and to make Him known!
Proclaiming the glorious gospel of Christ;
Making disciples that love, serve and worship Him!
